On August 30, under the guidance of the China Building Materials Federation and hosted by Xinyi Group, the launch event for the new product Xinyi Ice Blue IB71 was held grandly in Wuhu, Anhui. Focused on high-performance energy-saving glass technology innovation and industrial applications, the event gathered over a hundred attendees, including the heads of industry regional associations, technical experts, media representatives, and partners, to witness another groundbreaking achievement in energy efficiency by Xinyi Glass .

Global Advanced Level Recognized by Authorities 

During the morning product evaluation session, an expert committee chaired by Liu Chengxiong, Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee for Building Glass Standards and a professor, conducted a scientific evaluation of the Xinyi Ice Blue IB71.

After rigorous review, questioning, and deliberation, the committee unanimously concluded:

1.Xinyi Ice Blue IB71 is supported by comprehensive product documentation with detailed and verifiable data.

2. The use of rare-earth doping technology and composite reducing agents , enabling precise control over color consistency and delivering excellent homogenization.

3.The product offers high visible light transmittance, low solar infrared energy transmittance, and low ultraviolet transmittance. For a 5mm thickness, the light-to-heat ratio is greater than 1.4. It also meets the technical requirement of over 70% visible light transmittance for automotive applications.

4.A unique melting process effectively inhibits the formation of NiS inclusions. Third-party testing confirms an ultra-low spontaneous breakage rate—fewer than one break per 28 tons of glass—far superior to the industry practice.

5.One invention patent has been filed for this technology. The glass features an aesthetically pleasing color and significantly reduces ambient perceived temperature in automotive and curtain wall applications. Its ultra-low breakage rate further enhances operational safety.

6.The promotion and application of this new product align with national green and low-carbon policies. It meets the growing demand in both construction and automotive industries for high-performance, safe, and aesthetically integrated glass materials, demonstrating broad market prospects.

The committee affirmed that the Xinyi Ice Blue IB71 achieves international advanced levels and recommended its immediate  application in sectors such as construction and automotive industries.

At the launch ceremony, Mr. Leng Xuefeng, Vice President of Xinyi Glass, stated in his address: “The Xinyi Ice Blue IB71 embodies our latest technological innovation and aligns with China’s ‘Dual Carbon’ strategy. It reflects our deep market insights and relentless pursuit of excellence.”

He praised the product as a truly premium material that delivers health benefits, safety, environmental sustainability, and high performance. "This exemplifies the glass industry's pursuit of excellence through superior products that serve society," he added. Mr. Liu Chengxiong, Chair of the evaluation committee, officially released the evaluation results for Xinyi Ice Blue IB71.

Mr. Yang Jianjun, Chief Technical Expert of Xinyi Glass, delivered a systematic presentation on the product's technical roadmap, performance advantages, and application scenarios. He detailed the product’s three core advantages: 

1.Inherent Insulation: Performance stems from the glass substrate itself, ensuring longevity, stability, and compatibility with further processing.

2.Ultra-Low Spontaneous Breakage Rate: The production process is designed to inhibit the generation of NiS, dramatically reducing the risk of spontaneous breakage and ensuring a level of safety that leads the industry.

3.Multi-Scenario Applicability: It covers various fields such as high-end curtain walls and automotive windshields and side windows, successfully combining aesthetic appeal with functional performance.

During the Q&A session, journalists from over ten media outlets, actively asked questions about technological breakthroughs, market strategy, and competitive advantages. Mr.Yang Jianjun, confirmed that Xinyi Ice Blue IB71 has a broad application market potential and can simultaneously advance in fields such as green building and automotive industries. The product has completed its trial production phase with mass-production capabilities, and is being actively expanded into overseas markets.
